Nation Cadet Corps

The 1^st Mizo Air National Cadet Corp was established in Mizoram in 2011 with it’s headquarters in khatla. The invitation to institute an Air NCC unit in Synod Higher Secondary School was realised on 16^th August, 2011 with the recruitment of 25 students in the Junior Division. In 2012, 25 new recruits were added to the existing Junior Division and 25 students were selected for the Senior Division. A class is held at least once a week in the school for the cadets and two instructors are consigned by the headquarters to conduct the classes. Here the recruits are trained to parade and are theoretically taught the different parts of aircrafts and guns. These activities have inculcated motivation as well as discipline in the cadets.

The teachers assigned to take charge of the school’s NCC unit are Mr.David C.Lalremruata and Mr.Richard Lalchungnunga.

The school’s recruits are looking forward with great anticipation and are enthusiastically preparing themselves for the camp that is to be held in November at Tanhril. The school’s NCC unit is very grateful to the Principal for allotting an NCC room in the school building.
